Asa, Peter et al...It's so much fun to read all this stuff. Peter, your memories are so palpable, I can see, smell and hear them in my memory. Isn't it great that we all shared that? Just the other day I was telling someone about how we all started out at the DAF in the summer - begging to clean urinals and sweep the theatre for hidden pennies. Ugh!
Anyway, it's a long way from there. No, Asa, I am not singing except when there's a wedding, retirement party, or occasion when a middle aged jazz singer is wanted. And of course, I love it when it happens. Life is so busy. I am still teaching in a small independent school in Connecticut. I founded the middle school and I do love those adolescent hormonal kids (remember running through the dark halls at the junior high during dress rehearsals?) I am also the Assistant Head of the school, so it's a very full time job. Both my kids (Maggie and Gabriel) have grown up there almost since birth. Maggie is now a freshman in high school and Gabe is a 7th grader in my middle school. Maggie is an avid basketball and volleyball player, and Gabe plays football and basketball,(let's see golf, snowboarding, sailing, etc). So, needless to say, I am a committed sports mom. My wonderful husband, Steven, is a dentist and he has two children who spend good amounts of time with us. It is an amazing time of life. I love all the action and and appreciate each day. How can it be 30 years since 1968, the last summer I spent at the Dunes. The Fearless Five used to dream about where we would be when we were old - 30 or so!! So, that's the update. More stuff, you guys. Hi, Judy!! Congratulations on the Ph.D. What a wonderful thing. Hope you and yours are great.Love, Shelley
