: I was one of those busloads of kids going to the Elston Jr. High auditorium. It was 1967 and I was in first grand and clearly remember seeing productions of The Emperor's New Clothes (with an Asian motif) and Rip Van Winkle. Years later I met Sue Stephenson who was one of the tailors, though owing to Nora's proclivities for double and triple casting, I don't know if I actually saw Sue. It was a long time ago.

Oh yeah. I remember you sitting in the seats. Gosh you were noisy. In fact, all the CT productions were noisy in that auditorium. It was a real thrill to try to get fellow kids to settle down in their seats while we tied to entertain them.

How neat that it inspired you to join CT! My first memory was watching a production of Tom Sawyer in 1950 something. My older brother Bob played Hucks dad I think, and he had to put on a beard with spirit gum, and for several days afterwards he refused to take off the beard. It looked terrible. Now he's fifty-six and a very clean-shaven sort of guy. But me, I've got the beard (now almost completely white, I'm a'feared.)

It's too bad nobody ever told us in CT that someday we'd grow old. We might have made better notes of that great time in our lives.
