(Tom Anderson, who last I heard had a successful catering business in the Chicago area, portrayed the mayor.) Ahhh, the camaraderie of the cast, the thrill of rehearsal, the challenge of the performance---okay, I was scared to death of the "big kids", afraid I would forget what to do, and petrified on that huge stage, but it grew on me and I was hooked. I stayed through the winter and summer seasons until graduation from high school. They were eight wonderful years!
