: I could hardly believe it when Warren Sampson called me in Chicago to inform me that he had found a web site for CT Alums! What a great idea! Then to find such a sight filled with wonderful names from childhood---Peter, Shelly, Carol, Shepherd, Cyn, Hillary, Margot, Lila Beth, etc.---wow! Hello and love to everyone!!

: The years I spent in CT were many and memorable. As Warren remembers his introduction as a first grader to the world of CT during a performance of "The Emperor's New Clothes" (yes, that was me playing the tailor, Zar, along with Cyn playing Zan, or was it vice versa?), I, too, remember seeing my first production. I was nine years old, and I was sitting in the balcony of the Elston Junior High Auditorium watching Shelly give a mesmerizing performance as the "The Indian Captive". Hooked me right there and then. Well, okay, maybe it wasn't until by best buddy, Margot, had gotten into CT later that year and performed in the starring role of "Heidi" that convinced me that I should check it out. Especially after seeing her get mobbed for autographs by a bunch of little girls in the bathroom of the Tivoli Movie Theatre one Saturday afternoon?! She was a star! I mean, who wouldn't want to be a part of that magic?!

: My first role that next year was in "The Wizard of Oz" as the Munchkin Mayor's wife---no lines, but, hey, I got to wear a big necklace which separated me from the other lady munchkins. (Tom Anderson, who last I heard had a successful catering business in the Chicago area, portrayed the mayor.) Ahhh, the camaraderie of the cast, the thrill of rehearsal, the challenge of the performance---okay, I was scared to death of the "big kids", afraid I would forget what to do, and petrified on that huge stage, but it grew on me and I was hooked. I stayed through the winter and summer seasons until graduation from high school. They were eight wonderful years!

: I am so excited about this web site and it's potential to take us all down memory lane with wonderful reminiscences, as well as to catch us up on current lives. I look forward to reading more as time goes on. Congrats to Shepherd for making this happen!
