Hey,
Another CTer, lost in California.
There's not a day I don't wake up and think that Nora MacAlvey is walking with me. There's not a day that passes that doesn't remind me of what she -- and all the CTers -- did for me.
In fact, I ended up living with one of them for the last 30 years.
Things that CT has helped me to accomplish:
Writing plays
Writing stories
Building a Theatre Group in a town in the Napa Valley
Working with Francis Ford Coppola
Doing videos
Giving presentations
Finding out who I am.
I'm still in touch with many who were of my generation of Children's Theatre kids.
Margot Rose (my sister-in-law)
Judith Rose (figure that one out)
Janey Elliot
Linda Logman (Linda Lane)
Sometimes Shelley Sprague
I wonder about a lot of old friends with whom I've lost contact. Know where they are? Let me know.
People I remember well, but wish I knew were okay:
Benny Nigren
Clyde
Suzy Stevenson
Peter Oberlink
Kathy and Ellen Ginther (such sweet voices I recall -- such sweet ladies I imagine them now)
John Retzik
The list goes on.
I was down to the Summer Theatre last year, wandering around. I wanted my kids (24, 17, 14) to see where all my life was when I was there age. The place was still the same. They were getting a production up and running. I wanted to stay, to paint flats, to knail with a knammer, to hang out. It was sweet, but my time was gone. I wanted to drop my kids off and pick them up when they were all done, filled up with their own experiences, and then tap their imaginations.
Such a place.
But we drove away.
Thanks for this web page.
I'll be back. I figure we can still mount a decent production of "Twig of Thorn". Nora would have liked it.
